The incarnation is a term often associated with the birth of Jesus. It should properly refer to his while life and ministry, for the Word which became enfleshed at Bethlehem stayed enfleshed until the Ascension.
As distinct from John the Baptist, Jesus’ expression of Spirituality is not an ascetic strain best suited to hermits, but an affirmation of God’s indwelling in all things, such that grace is seen in nature, faith in non-Jews, and the language for God is more terrestrial than celestial.
Led by John Bell of the Iona Community, an inspiring speaker and the composer of much well-known and loved contemporary Christian music used in the Iona Community and around the world.
