This course is the second part of the foundational course in Christian theology. This second half of the course is focused on Anglican ecclesiology in particular. Starting from the consideration of the nature of Church, we explore what it means to know the Triune God in the mission and through our ministry the sacraments, and the completion of God’s work of redemption. We will discuss throughout the course what it means for an ordained person to be a theologian, one who is charged with teaching, as well as pastoring, and administering the sacraments, as well as what it means for a deacon to proclaim the gospel is service to the world. We focus on the importance of theology in our life together and discuss ways that you can encourage theological reflection in your ministries.
