Companion Café: Sustenance for the Journey
Event Information
About this Event
Offered through Lifelong Learning at VTS in partnership with The Retreat House at Hillsboro
Are you feeling weary? Would you like companions on the journey during this time of social isolation? Companion Café provides an opportunity for connection with others in a similar ministry context through guided conversation in small groups. Grounded in Jesus’ practice of sending disciples out in pairs, these groups of up to six people will be facilitated by spiritual directors/retreat leaders. This is an opportunity to engage with like-hearted people for fellowship, encouragement, and support in this time of pandemic separation. Time will be spent in conversation, deep listening, and prayer. The focus is not of fixing but on listening to each other from the heart so that all feel valued, seen, and heard. Our hope is that you will receive nourishment for the journey ahead, both for yourself personally and for your ministry.
During the registration process you will be asked questions about your ministry context and availability; thanks for your patience in filling out this information, as it will be used to best place you into groups. Groups will be formed on an on-going basis and will begin meeting in mid to late January 2021. The timing and schedule of your group meeting will be customized based, as best we can, on your availability and the availability of other group participants. Registration fees are refundable if you are not placed in a group that meets your availability. You should receive an email in early January with your group assignment and additional pertinent information.
Each ticket will ensure you have access to 6 one-hour sessions with your small group/leader.
We strive to make our programs available to all. If cost impedes your participation, please email us at [email protected] to inquire about financial assistance.
