In 2022 we look forward to . . .
Worship Services
Worship services will be based on The Beatitudes, featuring both YouTube Premiere and livestream services, with preachers and worshiping communities from across North America and beyond. Additionally, we will join Calvin University’s daily in-person/livestream chapel service (10 am EST) which includes songs, prayers, preaching, and more, led by the Calvin University Worship Apprentices, mentored by Paul Ryan, Nate Glasper and campus pastor Mary Hulst.
Learning Sessions
These times feature panels of experts and pastoral leaders on topics related to public worship and the Christian life, broadcast on YouTube Premiere and drawing wisdom from congregations and institutions across a range of traditions and denominations. Join through live chat as sessions premiere. We plan to have several sessions in-person with livestream feed from the campus of Calvin University. We hope this is an engaging option for Calvin students and community members, as space and campus guidelines allow.
Roundtable Global Conversations
You can select to participate in “The Beatitudes in Context,” facilitated through Zoom Meetings and designed for group discussions conducted in different languages.
Calvin Discovery Day
This day is organized through the Calvin Admissions Office. Friday, February 4, provides an opportunity to feature our signature program on ministry leadership—the Ministry Leadership Cohort (MLC). This day is designed for high school students who want to explore unique Calvin opportunities—including the MLC—in their journey of learning and growth.
All high school students are welcome to participate in Discovery Day. Students interested in joining the MLC in Fall 2022 need to apply to Calvin by December 15, 2021.
New Dates
Since 1988, this annual conference took place during Calvin’s January Interim. We have a new academic calendar at Calvin University and a week-long 2022 Calvin Worship Symposium!
