Personal Stories and the Purposes They Serve

In our time together we’ll be reflecting on the value and variety of personal stories and how to make them a gift to those you love, to a congregation or small community, to others who may need what you have to share, or to a public you may never know. Knowing how and when to tell stories from your experience can be a gift to younger generations.  Writing or recording your story may be a legacy, a way of letting go, an experiment in reframing, a testimony to grace, an act of amendment or of thanksgiving. The morning will include short readings, short exercises, and conversation. Our hope is that you will leave with some new perspectives and promising beginnings and a renewed appreciation of how your life may become an offering.
