This course will use lectures and class discussions to explore the Anglican ethical/moral tradition in its historical context, and as a resource for contemporary decision-making.

Jay Emerson Johnson is a theologian, Episcopal priest and Senior Director, Academic Research & Resources at the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies in Religion and Ministry at the Pacific School of Religion. Jay also serves as a member of the core doctoral faculty of the Graduate Theological Union (GTU). His first book, Dancing with God: Anglican Christianity and the Practice of Hope, was published in 2005.A two-volume anthology, Queer Religion, co-edited with Donald L. Boisvert, will be published by Praeger Publishers in 2011.

This course qualifies for the Advanced Anglican Series in the area of Ministry/Ethics. 4 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available.
