Our mission is to participate in the development of the ministry of the Episcopal Church and its members in serving the Church’s mission. In pursuing this mission, we are committed to:
Providing ways for the concerns of church and world to be brought into the arena of theological education, including the seminary’s curriculum and classrooms
Developing ways to work collaboratively with others, including the church on national, provincial and diocesan levels as well as with networks, congregations and other institutions, in providing opportunities for theological education for the whole church
Studying and encouraging the development of models that affirm the Baptismal covenant as the basis of all Christian ministry
Making the human and educational resources of the seminary more widely accessible to the church and the larger community
Facilitating dialogue and research concerning the practice of ministry in a pluralistic world
Creating environments that recognize, hear and affirm the diverse voices that need to be heard from within and outside the church
Exploring, encouraging and implementing the use of technology to enhance ministry development
