In honor of the 100th anniversary of the Nineteenth Amendment giving women the right to vote, Trinity Church Wall Street is hosting Women’s Suffrage: Race, Gender, and Power, a Trinity Votes series focusing on the role of women of color in the fight for enfranchisement. Join the Very Rev. Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas, Trinity’s Theologian in Residence and Dean of the Episcopal Divinity School at Union, for conversations with three prominent speakers on the role of women of color in the fight for enfranchisement.
We will explore this country’s voting rights legacy and what it means to use the vote to create a just future that respects the dignity of every human being.
