Crieff Hills offers a unique opportunity for those seeking an extended opportunity of rest and renewal. Ruth House is now the home of an intentional Christian community where residents may live for three, six or twelve months sharing a healthy rhythm of worship, work and rest. This comfortable home has a full kitchen, living room, and activity lounge. It is surrounded by nature trails, a prayer shelter and labyrinth, and extensive gardens. This program is suitable for those observing a formal sabbatical or intermission from work or ministry, those in a time of vocational change or discernment, and those who simply wish to experience an extended experience of restful living.
Community Life
A sabbath-rich life includes both activity and rest. Residents will have ample time for creative and personal pursuits, and a weekly book study and a monthly seminar will explore spiritual themes and practices. Each person will also participate in the life and work of Crieff Hills, contributing their gifts to the ongoing work of the centre according to their interests and abilities. One-on-one monthly coaching or spiritual direction are available for integrating and reflecting on the experience (optional and at an additional cost to participants).
Accommodation and Meals
The House of Ruth can accommodate up to 5 residents at a time. Each participant will have their own furnished bedroom and will share a bathroom with up to 2 others. Residents will be responsible for their own meals in the shared kitchen.
