Appropriate Boundaries in Ministry
As ministers we are called to serve our faith communities and the wider community. When we use the vulnerabilities of those we serve to satisfy our personal needs, we have violated boundaries and betrayed a sacred trust. Those actions cause substantial harm to those we serve, whether that abuse is sexual, financial, or relational. Using curriculum from the FaithTrust Institute we will examine the damaging effects of boundary violations, and learn how to develop personal and corporate strategies for maintaining healthy boundaries.

Parish Management for Clergy
This classroom course is intended for degree-seeking seminarians and ordained clergy for CEU credit. Parish leadership and management are critical skills for clergy, but most clergy do not come to ordination from business leadership positions. Yet, these skills are necessary for proper direction of staff, vestry, and volunteers. This course will include canonical requirements, clergy leadership, parish roles and responsibilities, accountability, clarity of lexicon, parish monies, how to read church financial statements, understanding audits, parish policies and procedures, internal control, and … what to ask when interviewing for a position.
The course is taught by James Jordan, author of Financial Management for Episcopal Parishes (Morehouse Press) and frequent CALL online instructor.
