Icons have been described as “the Word of God in line and color,” and as “prayer made visible.” As the “image of the invisible God” Christ is the icon par excellence. And each human being is an icon, a masterwork created by the hand of God and bearing God’s image in the world. On this retreat we’ll explore the rich and beautiful world of iconography through prayer, guided meditation, and reflections on several well-known icons of the Trinity, Christ, and the Blessed Virgin Mary.
