Anglicanismo (Course in Spanish only)
Este curso, ofrecido en español, será ofrecido en dos segmentos de 12 semanas, comenzando en abril de 2016. La Parte II empezará en septiembre de 2016. El curso ofrecerá una introducci?n a la historia del cristianismo anglicano desde la época de la Reforma hasta el crecimiento del anglicanismo como comuni?n global, con énfasis especial en la historia e identidad anglicana en el contexto latinoamericano.
This Spanish-language course is offered in two 12-week segments (2 weeks for each class), beginning in Spring 2016 and continuing with Part II in Fall 2016. It provides an introduction to the history of Anglican Christianity from the time of the Reformation through the growth of Anglicanism as a global Communion, with special emphasis on Anglican history and identity in the context of Latin America.
Instructor: The Rev. Dr. John Kater
Dr. Kater studied at Columbia University, the General Theological Seminary and McGill University in Montreal. He has served as a parish priest in the US as well as the Education Officer in Panama. In 1990 he joined the faculty of CDSP as Professor of Ministry Development and was the director of CALL for its first ten years. Officially retired, John continues to teach online and each spring he serves as Visiting Professor at Ming Hua Theological College in Hong Kong.
