Birds play an inspiring role in God’s creation: a dove carrying an olive branch signaled the end of the Genesis flood. In Psalm 104, birds “sing among the branches.” In Matthew 6:26, Jesus encourages us to “look at the birds of the air.” During this popular annual retreat, learn firsthand how birding can enrich our spiritual lives as we spend a spring weekend bird-watching in Trinity Forest with experts from the Emily Winthrop Miles Audubon Sanctuary in Sharon, Connecticut.

Led by Joseph Rose, Executive Director of Programming at Trinity Retreat Center, and the Emily Winthrop Miles Wildlife Sanctuary.

Joseph Rose is executive director of programming and outreach at Trinity Retreat Center, a leader in the Episcopal Church’s alternative liturgy movement, and a seminary student at Yale Divinity School. A native of the Pacific Northwest, he is a former award-winning journalist with Wired and The Oregonian in Portland, Oregon.

This retreat is suitable for individuals and families, including children of all ages.
