A yoga retreat is a wonderful opportunity to nourish yourself and connect with the rhythms of nature, so you can create optimal health and well-being.The practice of yoga helps us to connect with the energy and wisdom of the natural world as our bodies, minds and spirits adjust to seasonal changes.
These seasonal yoga retreats offered at Five Oaks will feature a specific focus in harmony with the seasons. The retreats are offered in partnership with facilitators Valerie Hobson and Catherine Heighway of Spanda Yoga and Retreats Ltd. of London, Ontario. Spanda is a Sanskrit word that means “pulsation.” It is considered to be the primary energy of the universe. Yoga Retreat in Winter

There is a hushed magic in the darkest time of the year. Time spent moving more deeply inward is a gift we can receive from the long dark period of winter. Yoga in the winter can be more internal and subtle in order for us to recognize the regeneration of our core energy. Meditation and reflection will be used during this winter retreat to replenish our energy.
During this retreat we will offer daily yoga and meditation sessions suitable for all levels, take time for rest, reflection and being in nature, walk the labyrinth together and take part in other group activities.
Please note: the retreat ends with lunch at 12:30 on Sunday.
