WOMEN OF THE PASSION

March 13, 2019 9:00 am – March 14, 2019 3:00 pm, 2018

Mary Ellen is happy to join those on retreat in reflecting on the lives of “Women of the Passion,” whose names have often been excluded or whose lives have often been hidden, yet whose spirits speak to us today of our own spiritual journey. Through first-person sharing, you will meet, CLAUDIA, wife of Pontius Pilate, MARY, wife of Cleopas, JOANNA, wife of Chuza, Herod’s servant, SALOME, wife of Zebedee and mother of James & John, UNNAMED MAIDSERVANT of High Priest, Caiaphas, UNNAMED DAUGHTERS of Jerusalem, UNNAMED WOMAN WHO ANOINTED Jesus’ head, and VERONICA, who wiped the face of Jesus. Each of these women mentor our own evolving consciousness of Jesus’ Resurrection and His continuing spirit living within and among us.

Wednesday, March 13 & Thursday, March 14, 2019. 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.

Presenter: Mary Ellen O’Dea, OP, is a Dominican Sister of Sinsinawa and life-long student of the Scriptures. Mary Ellen holds masters degrees in Religious Education, Adult Christian Community Development, Univeristy Ministry and Biblical Spirituality. She has ministered as a teacher, Director of Religious Education, Coordinator of Small Faith Communities, University Chaplain, Spirituality Coordinator, and Preacher and Retreat Director.
