The ten-day course includes nights at St George’s College, Jerusalem and nights in the Galilee.
During this course we shall explore the sacred spaces where the stories of Deborah and Jael, Mary and Elizabeth, and the women of the crucifixion and resurrection, all encountered challenges but found sacred wisdom to foster grace in their unfolding encounter with God.
Our itinerary will take to the Galilee, where we shall stay two nights in Nazareth, and then wind our way back to Jerusalem via the story settings in the Jezereel valley, Samaria, and Bethany. A visit to the ancient port city of Jaffa will be the seaside setting for the raising of Dorcas.
The program will provide a setting of spiritual retreat where daily time will be spent in private reflection, journaling as well as experiencing community fellowship in during our meals and daily worship.
A very special part of the program is the integration of local women whose voices will inspire us and enrich a vision of life in this land today. Their laughter and their tears will deepen our learning and devotion to embracing the women’s stories in Holy Scripture.
