The God of the Hebrew Scriptures is first and foremost a God of liberation. This untamable God, Who will Be Who God will be, works in the world to subvert every regime—both personal and institutional. This God continually challenges people and societies to step beyond the familiar, to transcend patterned notions, to meet God, and life, fresh and free– beyond any concept or doctrine. In this workshop we will study selected Biblical texts with great care as a way to engage and walk with this wild God.

Nahum Ward-Lev is a rabbi who has taught scripture at synagogues, churches, and retreat centers across the country, including Ghost Ranch. He is also the Scholar-In-Residence at Temple Beth Shalom, Santa Fe, NM.
