Picturing Paul in Empire Then and Now with Harry O. Maier
How did the realities of the Roman Empire help to shape the theology and mission of the apostle Paul and his followers? With the help of Roman imperial imagery we will explore how Paul at once opposed the Roman Empire and took over its language and imagery as a way to articulate his own vision of God’s reign in the crucified and raised Jesus.
