Beginning with God is fundamental to any faithful discernment of a person’s or congregation’s calling and ministry. Jesus’ promised presence wherever two or three are gathered guides collaborative discovery of a congregation’s purpose.
Biblically-based discernment, trust-building methods and collaborative leadership skills are the core to this 6-month online and 1-week onsite course. Participants review the theological underpinnings of communal discernment, read a congregation’s context and culture missionally, prepare congregations for listening to God, and develop their ability of engaging and leading congregations.
This course may be taken for intentional interim ministry training for an additional 10 contact hours (at no additional fee).
