Liliona Quarmyne

Liliona QuarmyneLiliona Quarmyne is a performer and dance instructor who deeply believes that movement and art can play a central role in the development of self-identity. She is particularly interested in the relationship between dance and self-knowledge, and the way this links us to past and to future generations. Liliona draws on her Ghanaian background and on a diverse set of experiences.

She began dancing as a little girl, and continued on with training in jazz, ballet, musical theatre, hip-hop, acting, and African dance. She has a BA and a MA in the performing arts, has over 10 years of teaching experience in a variety of dance forms, and continues to perform, working mostly recently with Compagnie Danse Nyata Nyata and with MamaDances.
