This workshop will be an exploration and discussion around what aspects of sound therapy are helpful in the delivery of spiritual care for institutionalized patients and/or clients. A short presentation on what constitutes spiritually integrated psychotherapy and a personal understanding of sound therapy followed by experiential, hands-on sampling of the instruments used. Institutions discussed will include acute care hospital, psychiatric hospital, Mental health and addiction crisis center and complex continuing care/ rehab healthcare centre.
Leadership:
Stephen Hudecki is a father of three he currently is the Spiritual and Religious Care provider at West Park Healthcare Centre in Toronto as well has a private practice in Waterdown. Stephen learned from Gary Diggins the secrets of soundwork as soulwork and his life has never been the same. Having worked in the music industry for 20 years prior he has a wealth of musical knowledge and experience. He has practiced meditation for 15 years and appreciates the realm of silence when he can find it. And finally, he comes from a very funny family and enjoys a good laugh whenever possible!
