What is it that you really want and maybe even need to write about? Are you stuck in your comfortable style or is your writing “voice” beginning to stutter or sound boring, even to you? Are you in the same-‘old-same-‘old rut? Or do you want to write, but don’t know how to start? This class is a hodgepodge of kinds of writing: narrative; memoir; poetry; essay; fiction; nonfiction. If you tend toward serious themes, you will have a chance to tickle your funny bone. If you tend to trip the light fantastic, you will be challenged to stray off course and dig a little deeper. The seasoned writer will find new venues; the novice writer will hit their motherlode of talent and everyone will leave gob-smacked by what they can do with all the possibilities before them. Carefully designed writing assignments encourage class members to explore new ways to say what they have always wanted to say, but didn’t knowhow, or maybe didn’t even know they wanted to say. Come. It’s a little bit lion taming, a little bit high wire work and some days we’ll unload the clown car.

Please note that our workshop price structure packages your tuition, course materials, lodging and meals together in a single rate. Prices are presented for each of the types of lodging available for the workshop you select. All rates are Per Person, Double Occupancy unless otherwise specified.

Single Occupancy: Single occupancy rooms may be reserved for an additional $50 per night when space is available. The fee will be charged when space is confirmed.
