This workshop will help organizations build strong fundraising programs that are mission-driven especially in these tough times that require original and innovative thinking.This interactive workshop provides practical, hands-on learning to help your organization identify and invent effective fundraising strategies, overcome the fear of asking for money, involve the board in fundraising and create a realistic fundraising plan.
Organizations are encouraged to send two people — senior staff responsible for fundraising and a volunteer board member.

Wendy Johnston

Wendy JohnstonWendy Johnston worked with various social movements in the 70’s and 80’s and later moved to the non-profit sector where she has worked for the past 20 years. She is passionate about grassroots fundraising where organizations ground themselves in their friends and supporters who support their mission and values. She has delivered grassroots fundraising workshops to over 250 nonprofits in the region in the past five years.

Pat Kipping

Pat KippingPat Kipping has worked in the nonprofit and public sectors for several decades including the Public Archives of Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Arts Council. Her most recent positions were as Senior Development Officer for Oxfam Canada and the Nova Scotia Community College Foundation. She serves on the Board of the Ecology Action Centre.
