“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Mt 28:19-20)

Are you wrestling with how to offer effective Christian formation for adults in your faith community? What does the Great Commission mean in 2020? Join this online Adult Formation cohort led by Dr. Lisa Kimball gathering via Zoom to build community, ask questions, and participate in discussions on effective Adult Formation.

In each session, the cohort will:

  • Learn the theology and pedagogy that forms the basis of effective formation.
  • Engage as a community of learners in active dialogue as to best methods for putting into practice the theory.
  • Apply learnings to real situations in individual contexts.

Our end goal is for cohort members to own a plan and resources to implement a contextually-responsive adult formation opportunity in their own communities.

The expected time commitment, between the reading and Zoom call, will be about 3 hours per week. But, we’ll provide expansive sources for anyone who desires a deeper dive into a certain topic.
