What does it mean to preach the gospel in a challenging and rapidly changing times? This workshop will explore ways of proclaiming the Word that take account of the diversity of our context and our vision of what it means to be a missional church.
Karoline Lewis holds the Alvin N. Rogness Chair of Homiletics at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minn., and is an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. She has a Ph.D. in New Testament Studies from Emory University. A popular presenter, she has led conferences, workshops, and retreats throughout the United States and Canada, and she is a regularly featured preacher at the Festival of Homiletics. A contributing writer for WorkingPreacher.org, she is also co-host of the site’s weekly podcast, Sermon Brainwave.

- Karoline will be preaching in a local Montreal Congregation. All are welcome to join her in a reflection time after the service.
