Prayerful Stitches
Led By: Br. Aidan Owen
Fee: $400 (Deposit: $100)
October 17 – October 20, 2019
Join us for our annual stitching retreat! Our theme is still in the works.
We do know that, as always, there will be plenty of time for socializing with fellow stitchers and for enjoying the beauty of the Hudson Valley in the fall. And, of course, we’ll spend our Saturday at the New York Sheep and Wool Festival (better known in the knitting world as “Rhinebeck”). Stitching during retreat talks is encouraged. Bring your needles or hooks, yarn, and an open heart. All meals and accommodations are included in the cost of the retreat, as is the festival entrance fee, and transportation to the festival.
Br. Aidan, also known as The Knitting Monk, is a knitter, sewist, quilter, and gardener. He records a popular monthly YouTube podcast called “A Maker’s Pilgrimage,” that explores the intersections of contemplation, ecology, and the fiber arts. You can also find his work on Instagram and Ravelry.
