Landscapes of the Spirit with Richard LeSueur and Herbert O’Driscoll
WHAT ARE THE SOURCES AND ENERGIES that make it possible to retain hope? When faith thins, failure clings, and uncertainty prevails, one occupies a harrowed landscape of the soul.
The Divine can transform such an inner landscape into an environment of the spirit. The long history of Christian Faith offers examples that both fascinate and inspire.
We will recreate times and places that became landscapes of spirituality.
HERB O’DRISCOLL, like the character in Shakespeare’s As You Like It, increasingly “finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything.” In other words retirement is wonderful for the mind and the imagination, and particularly conducive to thinking up interesting courses for Sorrento!
RICHARD LeSUEUR has served for 37 years as an Anglican priest in Western and Central Canada and in the Diocese of Jerusalem. A former lecturer with St. George’s College, Jerusalem, and at present adjunct faculty with Trinity Divinity, Toronto, Richard continues to facilitate programs of biblical studies in the Middle East. He is married to Rhonde.
