The optional Jordan study tour program will be offered several times a year as a supplement for people taking the Palestine of Jesus course. The Jordan study tour is best taken before or after a Palestine of Jesus course, but can be taken as a stand-alone module.

All participants must be at St George’s College by 7.00am on the morning of the first day of the study tour. Overnight accommodations for the preceding night may be available, subject to bookings.

Participation in the Jordan study tour includes an overnight at St George’s College on the day that the program returns to Jerusalem and breakfast on the following morning.

Individuals are responsible for securing their initial entry visas into Israel.

Group visas for Jordan will be secured through the College via the travel agency in Jordan. All relevant information needed for the visa process must be provided by participants by the advertised deadline.

Dr. Gregory Jenks is an Australian religion scholar and Anglican priest. Prior to his appointment as Dean of St George’s College in Jerusalem, he was Academic Dean at St Francis Theological College, Brisbane and a Senior Lecturer in the School of Theology at Charles Sturt University. He is also is a co-director of the Bethsaida Archaeological Excavation in Israel. His recent publications include The Once and Future Bible (2011),The Once and Future Scriptures (2013), Jesus Then and Jesus Now (2014), and Wisdom and Imagination (with Rex Hunt, 2014).  Further details of his publications are available at www.gregoryjenks.com
