Holy Listening

Listen with the ear of the heart, Benedict counsels. Come for this time of listening deeply for God in your life through contemplative prayer practices as a foundation for group spiritual direction. “Holy Listening” is a process in which each person shares for a time about his or her spiritual journey as all prayerfully receive. In turn, group members share what they hear which might speak to the Spirit’s movement. Interwoven with periods of silent prayer, this is an opportunity to touch in deeply with the presence of God in our lives through our own and others’ experience. This retreat is limited to 12 participants.
Sr. Elizabeth has been accompanying people in their faith journeys through retreat leadership and spiritual direction for the last 15 years. An Episcopal priest, Elizabeth is also co-founder of the Companions of Mary the Apostle, an ecumenical religious community for people of all genders.
