Led by Diana Butler Bass
In this retreat, Diana Butler Bass will share from her book-in-process, “Grounded” (forthcoming from HarperOne in 2015), a spiritual theology for what she calls “earthy” faith. Each day, she will present themes from different chapters, including reading in-process bits of manuscript, to reflect upon where we find God in the world around us — themes might include “roots,” “dirt,” “food,” “love,” “technology,” and “neighborhood.” This retreat will be a unique way to engage an author as she writes, to share our own stories of everyday life, and find hope by exploring new forms of emerging culture and congregations. The goal will be to open our eyes and see what is good in the world and how God is with us in the changes all around. A good time to gather ideas and inspiration for sermons, for those who love to write to support one another, and to engage the practice of the presence of God in all things.
