Going Home: A February Retreat
4:00 PM, February 5 to 1:00 PM, February 7, 2016
Bon Secours Spirituality Center
Going home is a lifelong journey.
Deep within is the radiant truth that the Spirit is at home in us, that we are forever at home. Yet the stresses of our lives can lead us to a sense of distance and overwhelming isolation. In the sacred space of spiritual community, we can remember our way home. We may also discover that we are on the way to an expanded intimacy with our homeland.
“The planet is our homeland,” Pope Francis says in his recent letter on caring for our common home. New dimensions of spirituality and science invite us to explore a natural, mutually restorative relationship of belonging with all that is, with ever-unitive, divine energy and revelation in all things. The beautiful natural setting of water and woodland pathways at Bon Secours welcome us to this exploration.
You are warmly invited to join the Shalem staff in contemplative meditations, silence and small group sharing on this retreat for Going Home.
