Welcome to a gathering with United Church of Canada Moderator Mardi Tindal. Experience her gifted leadership in this retreat of deep listening to God’s call within covenant relationship for the healing of soul, community and creation. The Moderator invests much of her energies in inviting and facilitating reflection and conversation about how we participate in God’s work of healing and mending creation. Mardi states, “I am deeply committed to right relationship with creation, in and beyond our faith community… I will be inviting the church to imagine new ways of caring for creation.”

Program Cost: $265 ($105 tuition +$160 meals/accommodations)

Leadership

Mardi Tindal

Mardi Tindal is current Moderator of the United Church of Canada. Before her election, she was Executive Director of Five Oaks, a sister centre to Tatamagouche Centre, and co-host of Vision TVs, Spirit Connection. In her work she has consulted widely with government, private-sector, church, and voluntary organizations in Canada, the United States, and Great Britain.

Margaret Tusz-King

Margaret Tusz-King, PRG, is the former Program Director of Tatamagouche Centre, from Sackville NB. She and her partner, Eric, live in a passive solar home, grow lots of their own food, and make every effort to make the world a better place for everyone’s children and grandchildren. Her strategies for social change engagement include several roles: municipal councillor, Green Party candidate, community justice activist, innovator of Open Sky Co-operative, backyard farmer and adult education.
