KAIROS COURSES
Christ’s ministry was always holistic. Christ treated the whole person—physically, emotionally and spiritually. As healthcare becomes more complex, people experience difficulty understanding the services that are available. The church and health care leaders developed a partnership to assist parishioners through faith community nursing, also known as parish nursing. Using a community-based, health-promotion focus, the faith community nurse (FCN) works to intentionally address spiritual care within the framework of holistic health. This foundation course provides the registered nurse with the basic knowledge and skills to serve as an FCN to promote wellness of body, mind and spirit.
Special events include a service of healing, service of dedication, mentor panel of FCNs and a discussion panel featuring clergy and FCNs.
