Finding God in the Dark
St. Ignatius has written: we find God in all things. We are shaped by the media and the movies we watch; do we use them to their full advantage?
Facilitated by Marilyn Gostlin, a Spiritual Director at Loyola House, this 3-Day guided retreat will include viewing a current movie each day, as well as praying with corresponding scripture. Learn methods of prayer, new ways of seeing a movie, discerning how much of our reality or our imagination is brought into our viewing. Could God be speaking through the gift of film? We see good (a form of consolation) or we see evil (a form of desolation) and are then able to shape some sense of how we are led into discerning God’s voice.
Individual spiritual direction will be available. Space is limited to 8 participants.
