Description: “Who do you say that I am?” Jesus’ question in Mark’s gospel has spawned a myriad of christological portraits around the world and across time. As non-western believers interpret and appropriate Jesus Christ in their respective cultural contexts, these new perspectives enhance our corporate understandings of the identity and significance of Christ. In this global survey course, explore contemporary Christologies emerging from the majority world. Consider the implications for our own theological and spiritual formation, our churches, and our witness to Christ locally and globally.
