Dr. Karoline Lewis, Professor of Preaching, Luther Theological Seminary, St. Paul, MN. The Gospel lessons for Lent, Year B, are from both Mark and John, two very different stories of Jesus and portraits of Christ. What connections can we make? What themes for Lent might surface if we put the two in conversation with each other? How well might our Lenten journey be shaped by a dialogue between two Gospels?
