Creative Writing Retreat
This program, for both beginning and experienced writers, is aimed at providing inspiration and ample writing time. Daily round-table discussion will be enhanced by meditation and gentle yoga techniques as a means to harness creativity. Participants with longer manuscripts in progress may, if they wish, choose to bring up to 30 pages to be individually critiqued by an instructor.
Leadership:

For many years she taught creative writing at Canadore College in North Bay, Ontario; she continues to incorporate poetry-writing into her varied workshops.
This program is being offered as a part of our ‘Arts Week’ where three arts-based programs are being held at the same time. On Thursday evening we will gather for an ‘Arts Celebration’ where participants are invited to share the creative work that has unfolded during the week.
Yoga will be offered once a day for all arts week participants who wish to participate. Please bring a yoga mat.
Our outdoor pool will also be open to participants to enjoy. Bring a bathing suit and towel.
Perhaps you have a friend or a family member who would enjoy creative time at Five Oaks as well. The other programs being offered during the week are Photography & Painting.
