Creative Journaling: The wonders of nature
with Kathie MacDuff
In Creative Journaling, a theme is presented and participants use words, images and a variety of mixed media techniques to unearth, explore and record their responses, thoughts and emotions.
This program unites participants in hope, support and camaraderie as they journey towards creativity and spirit. In this safe creative space, negativity is banished leaving only room for meaningful connection, self-expression and healing.
When we allow ourselves to experience nature fully, we are enlightened, restored and invigorated. Somewhere along the way, we’ve lost contact with this easily accessed source of healing, beauty and mystery.
Join us in a written and visual exploration of our relationship to the wonders of nature…rain or shine…and where better to do it than in beautiful Sorrento!
KATHIE MacDUFF is a trained journalist and a self-taught artist. For the past twenty years, she has been teaching courses in watercolour, mixed media, paper arts and creative journaling. She conducts weekly classes in Calgary at the Good Shepherd Art Studio.
Kathie is the Expressive Arts Team Leader at Wellspring, a cancer supportive care community, and for the Tom Baker Cancer Centre’s Arts in Medicine program. Her vision is to facilitate journaling experiences that encourage connections, validate emotions and nourish the soul.
