Two retreats at Sorrento Centre and Monthly Peer Learning Circles with Dan Hines and Wade Lifton.
This retreat series for clergy leaders is guided by the Circle of Trust® Approach and supported by peer learning circles – monthly small group via video conference meetings.
We will consider how we honour our own experience and remain faithful to the core values that brought us to ministry. We will explore how we are inspired and inspire others to be an active part of this process, to think critically, speak honestly and contribute constructively.
This journey takes us to the heart of vocation. Authentic community and inner integrity are often difficult to cultivate and maintain in the practice of public ministry as clergy leaders. Colleagues and congregation members both enrich and deplete our sense of self.
Integrity involves embracing our shadows and limitations as well as our light and gifts. As we deepen the congruence between our inner and outer lives we show up more fully in our ministry and in all the key relationships and events of our lives.
When we increase our capacity to be authentic in service, life and work, we re-discover our courage to serve.
Between the two retreats, participants will collaborate in monthly facilitated peer learning circles via video conferencing. These small group sessions will sustain the retreat learning and ongoing professional development and personal renewal.

Centre for Courage & Renewal »
DAN HINES facilitates personal and professional development programs for leaders in business, educational, and religious organizations. He is a facilitator prepared by the Centre for Courage and Renewal: mentored by Parker J. Palmer. Dan is an ordained priest in the Anglican Church of Canada.
WADE LIFTON is a ministry candidate in the United Church of Canada with a background in theatre, youth ministry and various streams of social change leadership. Wade serves congregations in the South Okanagan and is currently in the Centre for Courage & Renewal’s Facilitator Preparation Program.

Participants must commit to attending the June and November retreats and the monthly peer circles.
Opening Retreat #1: Monday, June 8, 2015 (4:00 pm) – Thursday, June 11, 2015 (1:00 pm)
Closing Retreat #2: Monday November 16, 2015 (4:00 pm) – Thursday, November 19, 2015 (1:00 pm)
Course Fee: $1312.00 Includes two residential retreats at Sorrento Centre: June 8-11, 2015 and November 16-19, 2015, instruction, meals and accommodation.
Payment Schedule: Upfront commitment fee/deposit (non refundable) of $200. The balance of 50% less deposit for the total program costs by May 8, 2015: $556. The balance of 50% less deposit for the total program costs by October 16, 2015: $556. If questions, please call the Centre.
