Dr. Helen Noh 2021 Simpson Lecturer
Dr. Helen Noh serves as the Associate Professor of Counselling Psychology at Tyndale University in Toronto Ontario. Dr. Noh’s area of specialization in both clinical practice and research is in the area of marriage and family therapy. She completed her internship at Glen Roberts Child Study Center and Verdugo Mental Health in Southern California. Dr. Noh worked with children, adults and families dealing with mental health issues, including depressive and anxiety disorders, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), as well as family system issues, such as marriage and parenting. Her areas of research interest include applied psychology and counselling with an emphasis on the integration of psychology, theology and spirituality.
Rev. April Yamasaki Seminar Speaker
Rev. April Yamasaki writes on spiritual growth and Christian living both online and in print publications, including Christian Century, Christianity Today, The Redbud Post, Godspace, Vision: A Journal for Church and Theology, Leader, and Rejoice! Her books include On the Way with Jesus; Four Gifts: Seeking Self-Care for Heart, Soul, Mind, and Strength; and Sacred Pauses: Spiritual Practices for Personal Renewal.
She is an ordained minister with twenty-five years of experience in pastoral ministry; currently, resident author with Valley CrossWay Church, a liturgical worship community; and often speaks in churches and other settings.

Rev. Renée MacVicar ran into God’s grace as a young adult and continues to be changed by that grace every day. Renée has a passion to see everyone join God in changing Atlantic Canada one neighbourhood at a time. She currently serves as Associate Pastor of Community Engagement at Hillside Baptist Church, Moncton, NB.
