Ghost Ranch has a long tradition of supporting those in ministry with rich respite and continuing education. In 2013, we will dedicate two special weeks to helping support those in all fields of ministry (ordained and lay).
Arrival (Monday afternoon) and Departure (Saturday morning) have been established so that those in ministry can leave/return in time for their weekly Worship responsibilities. Some segments will involve the full group (plenaries – processing – Worship). Participants will also choose one focus class where they will receive approximately 20 hours of instruction/ experience to help them in their field of ministry. Come and receive a week of nourishment to help you so you in turn can help others.
This retreat will use different modes of contemplative prayer as a way of allowing participants to explore their own deepest connection with the holy. Each day we will spend time with a different method of prayer such as lectio divina, praying with icons, walking meditation at the labyrinth, use of the Jesus Prayer, breath and centering prayer and so on. Afternoons will be free times for personal retreat, hiking, spiritual direction and more. Evenings will provide time for group reflection and processing.

A member-at-large of Santa Fe Presbytery since 1996, Ken has created an eclectic mix of ministries including teaching historical theology and Christian history for the Ecumenical Institute for Ministry, a ministry of spiritual accompaniment and retreat leadership, and involvement as a Parish Associate at two area churches over the last dozen years. He is also part of the advisory team for Ghost Ranch’s spirituality and retreat center, Casa del Sol.
