This seminar will reflect upon chapters 11 through 22. This second part of the Life covers Teresa’s treatise on describing the four levels of prayer. Although she is more well known for her image of the interior castle and its seven mansions, this earliest attempt at articulating the experience of prayer uses the image of water to describe four different depths of the life of prayer.
