2014 Winter Workshops: Circle of Life: Suicide & Spirituality

DoubleTree by Hilton Phoenix – Tempe
(formerly Fiesta Resort and Conference Center) – Tempe, Arizona

• Thursday 3-6pm – Registration/Check-in
• Thursday 6-8:30pm – Dinneer and Opening Worship
• Friday 9am-12pm – Session 1 “Prevention” panel presentation
• Friday 2-5pm – Session 2 “Crisis” (initial steps of how to cope and what to do) –Facilitated table discussions led by the panel presenters focusing on topics from their area of experience
• Friday 7:30-11:30pm – Men’s and Women’s Healing Circles
• Saturday – 9am-12pm –Session 3 – “Community + Compassion = Hope” – How does the community (tribe, school, family, church) deal with repercussions?  How do we rebuild hope in our:  Tradition/Culture, Church, Tribe, Family and Youth/Young Adults?
• Saturday – 12-12:30pm – Closing worship with group lunch immediately following

The Rev. Martin Brokenleg will moderate the three learning sessions; the Rev. Debbie Royals and Steve Darden will lead the healing circles. 

Registration Fees:

• $250 – includes training, materials, 2 nights lodging (double), meals
• $125 – includes training, materials, meals
• $50 – Full-time student (with ID) rate – excludes lodging
