What does it mean for young people to become “practicing Christians?” And how do we help nurture that practice? Whether you are a youth ministry volunteer or a rector, you know that “youth are the future of the church.” In fact, they are also the “now” of the church. Come examine theological, developmental, sociological, and practical issues for organizing, leading, participating in, and sustaining ministry with youth, with special attention to connections between youth ministry, young adult ministry, and the challenges of continuing connection to church in an increasingly secular society. The course responds to the needs and interests of participants, who shape the offerings with their own experiences and questions.
