Art Retreat Mentorship with Suzanne Northcott

21 September 2014 – 26 September 2014

This residency is a rare opportunity for a group of motivated artists to work intensively with dedicated studio space and freedom from distraction under the guidance of Suzanne, who will personally support and mentor you to move to your next level.

Suzanne values the freedom to study in an organic way. Add the beautiful and peaceful setting of Okanagan Lake in wine country, great food, and rich collaborative atmosphere at the Centre at Naramata, a place of learning, spiritual nurture and renewal. You will have all the ingredients to move to the next stage in your artistic work.

There will be time to paint, take in the lectures, demos, and group critiques as well as one-on-one time with Suzanne.

We will build something remarkable together. ~ Suzanne

Memorable events are like fine wine: both have a beautiful finish. This is our offering for this Art Retreat.

Leader(s):

Suzanne Northcott

A highly sought after  teacher and art instructor, Suzanne  is an interdisciplinary artist whose explorations into mixed media have crossed into the world of poetry, video, photography, natural history and philosophy. She values the freedom to go deep into subjects, spending years studying crow migration, butterfly cycles and bog wetlands in turn, always watching to see how what is learned in one domain informs another. Suzanne illuminates mysteries of the creative process with humour and insight and is known for her ability to help students break through to new personal ground in their work. Her work is in numerous collections including the Surrey Art Gallery’s public collection and she is represented by Granville Fine Art in Vancouver. www.suzannenorthcott.ca
