Drawing Spirituality with Celtic Knots

Workshops: January 25 and/or January 26, 2014a return engagement

Can you draw a dot, a line and a square? Of course you can! Surprisingly, they are the 3 key steps to learning a simple, accessible, authentic way of drawing Celtic knots—no art training required.

The method will open you to an appreciation of knots as a spiritual meditative practice that is playful and easy, but also thoughtful drawing remarkable depth and meaning from connections to the Bible, theology and liturgy. Or. . . knots can also be just fun creative doodling!

The Saturday workshop will be an introduction to the knots, focused on establishing ease and familiarity with a basic repertoire of interlace types.

The Sunday workshop will be a more advanced session, exploring complex variations, with closer attention to ways that knotwork is capable of disclosing insight and meaning hidden in the enormous collection of examples from the religious and secular historical record. [Register for either one, or both]
