Guided Retreat, Friday-Sunday, February 8-10, 2013
In the book of Genesis we are assured that we are made in the image of God. This sounds really wonderful, even awesome, but how seriously do we take it? And how do we let it affect our Christian life?
In this retreat we will reflect on some of the many images of God in scripture, our images of ourselves, and how one affects the other. We will consider the connection between image and imagination –– one of the most profound gifts God has blessed us with.
We will talk and sing together, pray and laugh together, and imagine how we are called more deeply into the mystery of God.
Led by the Rev. Sr. Constance Joanna, SSJD, assistant priest at Church of the Incarnation in Toronto, teacher at Wycliffe College, and Pastoral Co-ordinator of the Guest House.
Begins 4 pm Friday; ends 1:30 pm Sunday.
Fee is $200; the deposit is $35.
