Six-Weeks Program
More than a Study Tour…
To study and reside in the Holy Land, to meet the local people, to spend time at the sacred shrines and in the open space – these are a great privilege. This new Tantur Program, “More than a Study Tour,” presents a unique spiritual, educational, and community experience. In this six week program, when the Judean hills begin to blossom, but the crowds have not yet descended on the Holy Sites, we will present a combination of classroom learnings (e.g., biblical geography, Jesus in His Milieu, a Jewish reading of the Hebrew Scriptures, Desert Spirituality) and professionally guided excursions into the land (e.g., five days in the Galilee where Jesus grew up and began his ministry, many trips in the local area of Jerusalem and Bethlehem, and a journey into the wilderness to where Moses received the revelation on Mount Sinai). In addition, we will get to know the local people: Jews, Muslims, and those from other parts of the Christian family through encounter and discussion. From this varied and challenging curriculum, a learning and praying ecumenical community emerges through our life and prayer together.

Application fee, $100 (non-refundable) must be sent with Application form. This new Six Week Program, including trips to Galilee, Sinai and a visit to the home of a Palestinian Christian family will be $6500
