Sacred Food for Soulful Living

Nature has gifted us with an amazing abundance and variety of foods, spices and herbs. How we use them has evolved across the world’s many cultures to a deeply meaningful art. This retreat will focus upon the pleasures and opportunities of seasonal vegetarian cooking drawing on the abundance of locally produced foodstuffs. Participants will explore foods along the arc from market to cutting board to table. Among the topics to be covered include how to create lively menus, make optimal choices at the market, and strengthen technical skills. Ward Bauman, author of Sacred Food for Soulful Living, and guest teachers will lead us in this playful and spiritual exploration.
