About the Conference
Kanuga’s annual Renewal Conference brings families and friends together for a week of teaching, worship and healing. Designed as a spiritual recharge, the week features dynamic morning and evening teaching, afternoon relaxation and workshops and powerful worship.

Keynote Speaker
Dr. C. Baxter Kruger, theologian, writer [and fishing lure designer] is the Director of Perichoresis Ministries. Baxter is a native of Prentiss, Mississippi. He and his wife, Beth, have been married for 30 years and have four children. A lifelong student of psychology, Baxter has degrees in political science, divinity, and earned his Ph.D. from Kings College, Aberdeen University in Aberdeen, Scotland under Professor James B. Torrance. He is the author of eight books, including The Great Dance, Jesus and the Undoing of Adam and Across All Worlds, and recently the international bestseller, The Shack Revisited. He teaches around the world. He is an avid outdoorsman and holds two United States patents for his fishing lure designs. He is also the founder and President of Mediator Lures.

Coordinators
Marilyn Dixon has attended the Renewal Conference for the last eight years. She is a member of the Cathedral Church of the Advent and previously worked there as Coordinator of Small Groups. She is also a former vestry member and is involved in women’s ministries. She is married to Jim and they have two boys, James (13) and William (11). Her next endeavor is backyard chickens. The Dixons live in Birmingham, AL.
Carleton Ambrose of Birmingham, AL has been attending Renewal Conference for the past nine years. She has been a member of the Cathedral Church of the Advent for nearly 40 years and has previously served on the vestry, helped with the Lenten Lunch series and various aspects of the contemporary worship service. She has one fur baby named Matthew.

Infant/Toddler (2 and under)
No charge for room and board.
There is a $105 fee for those who choose to participate in Kanuga’s nursery program during plenary sessions and workshops. Register for nursery care upon arrival; this fee will be added to your final invoice.
Bring the Whole Family
For all summer conferences, Kanuga invites you to make this week a mountain vacation for the whole family. While parents attend sessions, young people participate in their own programs directed by our carefully selected staff in a safe and fun Christian environment. Programs for young people will begin on Sunday evening, June 25. There is a $105 fee for infant/toddler childcare.

Cancellations and refunds are provided in a tiered system based on proximity to the event start date. Any cancellation made at least three weeks (21 days) before the event start date will result in a refund, minus the $100 nonrefundable deposit. Cancellations made 20-15 days before the event start date will receive a 50% refund, minus the $100 nonrefundable deposit. Cancellations made 14-8 days before the event start date will receive a 25% refund, minus the $100 nonrefundable deposit. Cancellations made within 7 days of the event start date are not eligible for a refund.
